Mileage

Federal Business Mileage Rate. Mileage for Celebrant travel is waived within a 10-mile radius of the corner of Dean Rd & Colonial.

Other Fees As Charged

Entrance fees, parking fees, and other costs (such as hot air balloon passage, etc.), must be covered by the client.

Ceremony Delay Fee

If a ceremony begins more than 30 minutes late, and the celebrant is able to stay, there is a $50 fee for every thirty minutes of delay.

Time Blocks

Half Day is $150 (5 a.m. - 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.); full day is $350. Time blocks allow you to have the celebrant at your disposal during that time (rather than a ceremony start time with 30 minute cushion for delays).

Immediate Service Fee

Depending on availability, ceremonies can be booked last-minute - even same day. Fee applies to ceremonies booked with fewer than 7 days' notice.

Rehearsal / Event Fee

In addition to travel fees, this is for attendance at rehearsal dinners and other planned events in addition to the ceremony where the Celebrant is requested to attend.

Hospital, Hospice, or Prison Visit

Perspective-affirming Humanist Clergy visits for Atheists, Humanists, or other Secular Identities or anyone seeking secular alternatives to religious clergy or chaplains. For clergy visits to hospice, hospital, prisons, etc., there is no set fee, including travel, to ensure accessibility to all. An honorarium or gratuity would be appreciated but is not required.

Debaptismal or Deconfirmation Certificate

Certificate only - mailed. This certificate is provided free if part of a Ceremony Package.

Item / Food Drive

Includes coordination with charity, provision of wish list / item list flyer for guests, and delivery of items to the charity. ($200 if not in conjunction with a ceremony package)

Volunteer Wedding

Small ceremonies only. Includes wedding planning, celebrant services, and volunteer event planning with the service venue. Some venues may have a guest limit or minimum, or may charge an additional fee.

Service Registry

In lieu of gifts, ask invitees to give a designated number of hours of volunteer service with registered charities. You will receive a link for guests to register their service hours.

Ceremony Coaching - Support Package

-- Initial virtual consultation to understand your ceremony goals - whether it is a wedding, funeral, baby welcoming, divorce ceremony, or some other creative, meaningful ceremony to mark an important moment in your life.

-- Ceremony "building block" tools to help us craft a unique and meaningful ceremony together

-- A script in a shared, editable document that we will edit as we go and assistance in composing and personalizing the ceremony (including personalized vows, eulogy, etc.).

Ceremony Coaching - Full Package

-- includes everything in the Support Package and Two one-hour virtual coaching sessions with the officiant to review ceremony choreography, rehearse delivery of the ceremony, giving them confidence in delivery and comfort in their role leading your ceremony.

Ceremony Composition

This includes unlimited drafts and consultations to ensure a perfect ceremony for you, and a consultation with your officiant to go over rituals and other choreography.
Note - there is no charge for personalizing from the script samples provided. Ceremony composition would be for those wanting a fully customized ceremony, especially for those not using officiant services.

Obituary or Eulogy Composition

Includes family interviews and unlimited drafts to ensure your loved one is authentically honored.
